Team Liquid PH Overcomes Twisted Minds’ Challenge

The race to the MPL Philippines Season 15 playoffs is heating up, and Team Liquid PH made a strong statement by clinching their playoff berth. Facing a determined Twisted Minds PH, they showcased resilience and strategy in a thrilling three-game series.

In Game 1, Twisted Minds caught Liquid off guard with a dominant performance. Jomarie “Escalera” delos Santos turned heads with his standout Guinevere pick, finishing with a 2/2/9 KDA. Partnered with Michael “MP The King” Endino’s Joy and Jhonville “Outplayed” Villar’s Harith, Twisted Minds overwhelmed Liquid early, taking an impressive 18-6 victory.

However, Game 2 brought a shift in momentum. Kiel “Oheb” Soriano’s Granger roared to life, posting a stellar 4/1/5 KDA. Jaypee “Jaypee” dela Cruz’s Jawhead proved unstoppable, disrupting Twisted Minds’ strategies and forcing a decider.

Liquid PH shifted into high gear in Game 3, displaying flawless execution. Salic “Hadji” Imam’s Nana pick failed to salvage Twisted Minds’ hopes as Outplayed’s Granger struggled against Liquid’s relentless offense. Behind Jaypee’s aggressive Jawhead play, Liquid sealed a 10-minute victory to secure their eighth win of the season and a playoff ticket.

Twisted Minds PH, now sitting at 1-9, will need a monumental turnaround in the second half.

Falcons Soar Over Smart Omega

Team Falcons PH delivered a strong case for their playoff aspirations with a 2-0 sweep over Smart Omega. Game 1 saw Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson shine with a stellar Joy performance. Securing three Lords and finishing with a 10/1/3 KDA, KyleTzy’s mastery of the jungle guided his team to a 17-11 victory.

Omega, on the other hand, struggled to gain ground. Andrew “Andoryuuu” Flora’s Suyou pick faltered with a 1/4/3 KDA, leaving his team unable to compete with the Falcons’ aggressive strategy.
Game 2 was another dominant showing for the Falcons. Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano showcased his skill on Moskov, delivering seven kills and eight assists. Czedrick “Super Yoshi” Romero’s Ruby faltered with a 0/4/3 KDA, and Omega’s midlaner Jayson “UK1R” Alupit couldn’t find his rhythm on Pharsa. Meanwhile, Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel’s Faramis provided impeccable support with a flawless 2/0/8 KDA.

The Falcons’ victory lifts them to a 6-3 record, keeping their playoff hopes alive. Smart Omega, with a disappointing 1-7 standing, will need to regroup quickly to stay in contention.
