Samsung Smart TVs to Launch iTunes Movies & TV Shows and Support AirPlay 2 Beginning Spring 2019
LAS VEGAS, NV – Consumer Electronic Giant Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. recently announced during the last CES that the company will offer iTunes Movies and TV Shows and Apple AirPlay 2 support on 2019 Samsung Smart TV models beginning this spring. A firmware update will be available to the Samsung Smart TV 2018. This is an industry first, a new iTunes Movies and TV Shows app will premiering exclusively on the Samsung Smart TVs in more than 100 countries. AirPlay 2 support will be available on Samsung Smart TVs in 190 countries worldwide.
The inclusion of iTunes Movies and TV Shows app on 2019 Samsung Smart TVs, customers can access their iTunes movie library and go thru the iTunes Store to purchase or rent from a vast collection of movies and TV episodes — including the largest selection of 4K movies. The iTunes Movies and TV Shows with Samsung’s Smart TV Services, such as Universal Guide, the New Bixby, and Search, to create an amazing experience on Samsung’s platform.
The AirPlay 2 support, Samsung customers will now be able to play videos, photos, music, podcasts and things from Apple devices into Samsung Smart TVs, including QLED 4K and 8K TVs, The Frame and Serif lifestyle TVs, as well as other Samsung UHD and HD models.
