LG Unveils Cutting-Edge HVAC Solutions at AHR Expo 2025
LG Unveils Cutting-Edge HVAC Solutions at AHR Expo 2025
Orlando, Florida, February 2025 – LG Electronics (LG) recently showcased its latest heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technologies at the AHR Expo 2025 in Orlando, Florida. From February 10-12, visitors experienced LG’s groundbreaking suite of heat pumps and chillers, reflecting the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the HVAC market.
Embracing Decarbonization and Electrification
Aligned with the global shift towards decarbonization and the increasing demand for electrification technologies, LG’s expanded HVAC lineup offers tailored solutions for both commercial and residential environments. Visitors at the LG booth explored a range of high-efficiency inverter heat pumps. Equipped with Inverter Scroll Compressors, the entire lineup has earned ENERGY STAR® certification. Customized for the North American residential market, these heat pumps provide powerful, efficient, and reliable cooling and heating for single-family houses with high ceilings.
Innovations in Heat Pump Technology
One of the highlights was the new LG Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater, which leverages the company’s DUAL Inverter Heat Pump technology for maximum efficiency. This smart appliance offers convenient control via the ThinQ™ app, ensuring seamless compatibility with various indoor units, including A-Coils and Furnace systems.
Additionally, LG showcased the award-winning LG Residential Cold Climate Heat Pump, which received the 2025 AHR Innovation Award in the Sustainable Solutions category. Designed for colder regions, this heat pump operates efficiently in temperatures as low as negative 35 degrees Celsius (negative 31 degrees Fahrenheit). It also features the Low Heating function to prevent pipes from freezing by maintaining a temperature of approximately 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit).
Advanced VRF Solutions for Commercial Facilities
For commercial facilities, LG introduced the upgraded Multi V™ i Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) solution. This advanced system incorporates a larger heat exchanger for more powerful performance and uses R32 refrigerant, which has a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 675. The Multi V i is designed to reduce carbon footprints and includes advanced safety systems to prevent refrigerant leaks. Its adaptable design offers installation flexibility, making it suitable for various commercial applications.
Introducing the Oil-Free Inverter Centrifugal Chiller
LG also unveiled the Oil-Free Inverter Centrifugal Chiller at AHR Expo 2025. This solution combines LG’s latest advancements in chiller technologies and thermal management systems. Utilizing the state-of-the-art magnetic bearing technology, LeviTech™, the new Centrifugal Chiller improves overall energy efficiency and enhances part-load efficiency through the inverter system. It also ensures a reliable supply of chilled water, supported by LG’s bearing protection and fast recovery features.
Showcasing Compressors and Motors
Adjacent to the HVAC booth, LG displayed its new lineup of compressors and motors. The expanded Scroll Compressor lineup targets both commercial and residential HVAC markets, showcasing LG’s innovative design and high-efficiency motors. The company also unveiled its comprehensive range of compressors for Cold Climate Heat Pumps (CCHP), highlighting its participation in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Cold Climate Heat Pump Technology Challenge.
Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation
LG’s Component Solutions business aims to strengthen strategic relationships with major HVAC manufacturers by continuously introducing innovative technologies that anticipate market shifts. “The LG HVAC solutions displayed at AHR Expo 2025 underscore our firm commitment to innovation and leading the industry’s transition toward decarbonization and electrification,” said James Lee, president of the LG ES Company. “As a leading global brand, we remain dedicated to delivering efficient and sustainable HVAC technologies and solutions tailored to diverse customer needs and environments.”
