BingoPlus Foundation Empowers PWDs with Technology and Livelihood Center

Manila, Philippines – The BingoPlus Foundation, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), has made a significant stride towards promoting inclusivity and digital empowerment for persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the Philippines.

A New Center for Technology and Livelihood

The PLUS Center for Technology and Livelihood, established under the FutureSmart Program, is a testament to this commitment. The center, located in Brgy. Labangon, Cebu City, received a generous donation of state-of-the-art equipment from the BingoPlus Foundation, including 20 desktop computers and industrial printing machines.

Empowering PWDs through Digital Skills

The donated equipment will equip the Area Vocational Rehabilitation Center (AVRC) II with the necessary resources to deliver vocational training in digital literacy, graphic design, and printing. These skills are crucial for PWDs to thrive in today’s digital economy.

A Partnership for Change

The collaboration between the BingoPlus Foundation and DSWD is a testament to the power of public-private partnerships in driving positive social change. Both organizations share a vision of creating a more inclusive society where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed.

Dr. Jera D. Armendarez, AVRC II, expressed her gratitude for the donation: “This equipment will significantly enhance our capacity to provide quality vocational training to our trainees, empowering them to pursue meaningful careers.”
