ACMobility Advances EV Adoption at Manila Auto Show

Expanding Infrastructure Across the Philippines

Pasay, Philippines – The push for sustainable transportation takes a massive leap forward as ACMobility, the Philippines’ leading new energy vehicle (NEV) solutions platform, unveils bold expansion plans at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show.

Currently operational in over 70 locations across the country, ACMobility is set to open 30 new charging points this April, with an ambitious goal to increase total charging stations to over 700 by the end of the year. This scaling effort is part of ACMobility’s mission to “Charge Forward,” cementing its position as a driving force in the EV revolution.

Nationwide Expansion for Urban and Rural Accessibility

ACMobility’s charging network is expanding beyond urban centers to serve underrepresented regions, ensuring convenience, connectivity, and sustainability for EV users. New stations will be strategically located in traffic hotspots and key travel routes, offering reassurance to drivers who might worry about range anxiety.

The upcoming expansion also introduces SuperFast and UltraFast Chargers, capable of delivering up to 480kW of power. This technology drastically improves charging times, giving Filipino EV users a more seamless experience.

Beyond cities, ACMobility is prioritizing regional interconnection. This includes connecting northern Luzon, with charging points from La Union to Tuguegarao, and building out the Panay region in Visayas, covering Antique, Iloilo, Roxas City, and eventually Aklan. In Mindanao, cities like Iligan, Butuan, Digos, and Tagum will benefit from new stations, linking previously underserved areas to the existing hubs in Davao and Cagayan de Oro.

The goal? A nationwide EV backbone—from Pagadian to Pagudpud—ready to support the growing EV ecosystem in the Philippines.

Powering the Future with Cost-Effective Solutions

This year, ACMobility introduced an innovative membership program that offers cost-effective charging options for EV owners. Members enjoy fixed monthly fees, which translates to 20% savings on charging. Rates start as low as:

  • ₱28 per kW for DC charging (compared to ₱35 per kW).
  • ₱22.80 per kW for AC charging (compared to ₱28.50 per kW).

Standard fees in NCR begin at ₱28.50 per kW for AC charging and ₱35 per kW for DC charging, with slight provincial variations to align with local power rates. These fees not only ensure affordable access but also fund the maintenance and development of ACMobility’s infrastructure, guaranteeing reliable service for all users.

Additionally, ACMobility launched Power-on-Wheels (POW), a mobile fleet of electric vans equipped to deliver on-the-go DC charging. This service is especially valuable for EV users without access to home chargers or those traveling through areas with limited permanent infrastructure.

Creating a More Connected Holy Week

To support travelers during the upcoming Holy Week, ACMobility’s Power-on-Wheels vans will provide roadside charging at Petron Lakeshore and Shell KM 77 Mexico, Pampanga, from April 16 to 21. Travelers can locate these charging points via the Evro app, which simplifies booking and usage.

Most ACMobility charging stations will remain operational during Holy Week, including those at popular destinations like Seda Hotels, Vermosa, Vertis North, and Solenad Nuvali. However, select sites—such as Ayala Malls and BPI branches—will have adjusted schedules on April 17-18. For a complete list of charging station hours, visit ACMobility’s official website.

Breaking Barriers to EV Adoption

With its focus on innovation and accessibility, ACMobility has taken significant steps to ease the transition to electric vehicles for Filipinos. The membership program, expanded locations, and cutting-edge chargers are just part of a larger strategy to future-proof the transport system while reducing barriers for EV owners.

“2025 is pivotal for ACMobility,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility. “We are doubling down on our efforts to create a more accessible, convenient infrastructure for all EV owners. By combining tech innovation with strategic expansion, we’re empowering more Filipinos to embrace the future of mobility.”

Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure, echoed this sentiment. “Our goal has always been to break down the barriers to EV adoption. We’re excited to bring faster, more reliable services to Filipinos while building a cleaner, more efficient way to travel.”

Charging Beyond Convenience

One of ACMobility’s standout innovations is the Power-on-Wheels (POW) service, which addresses gaps in the current charging ecosystem. Ideal for users in remote areas or those traveling without a clear charging plan, POW ensures EV owners are never stranded.

Combined with its fixed-rate membership program, this mobile solution makes EV ownership not only practical but also sustainable. The result is a reliable infrastructure ready to meet both the current and future demands of EV adoption in the Philippines.

Expanding Charging Networks

ACMobility’s charging network includes key destinations and travel stops across the country. Operational locations span commercial hubs like One Bonifacio High Street, Arbor Lanes, and Harbour Point. Meanwhile, upcoming expansions aim to connect regions like Mindanao and Northern Luzon, addressing gaps in rural infrastructure while improving intercity travel.
