Facebook bans Crypto Currency Ads

Facebook bans all cryptocurrency ads from it’s social media platform. Bitcoin which currently the most popular among the crytocurrencies is also includeded in the ban along with other ICos. The ban is party of an “intentionally broad” policy against deceptive marketers.

Facebook Product Management Director Rob Leathern explained the decision in a blog post stating Facebook will no longer accept any advertisements that “promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices.”. He also said that the ban is not permanent and the will also be reviewing the issue once they have improved in detecting and removing false/deceptive ads.

Locally we have also heard of people of currently getting into the cryptocurrency craze with out fully understanding what it is. We all have heard of unscrupulous individuals or groups that have set up ponzi scams. But nowadays with fake news spreading so fast and people always lobbying their agendas, it is difficult to see what is right.
But for now the cyptocurrecy ads will no longer be seen of Facebook.
