Movie Review:”Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb”
Pasig, Philippines, History comes to life once again with “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb”. Continuing on with life of Larry (Ben Stiller), as the night guard at New York’s Natural History Museum, and his son Nick(Skyler Gisondo). Together with all the funny familiar characters from the previous movie installments.
Larry being now in charge of the museum’s “special effects” head, and still at the same time the night guard, encounters very odd events and unexplainable behaviour among the museum exhibits. While trying to figure out the mystifying disturbances, he connects events in the past to his predecessor as a night guard. that lead him to clues found among the museum artefacts and characters.
The script was impressive in terms of how they make the historical facts be apart of the comic punch lines. There were a lot of moment you will find yourself laughing out loud between antics and dialogues. Among the funny scenes, my personal favorite is the cameo of Hugh Jackman(spoiler alert). Though being a comedy movie, tender elements were injected to make your heart melt and say ‘aaaawwwwwwww’
Though it’s really a hilarious movie, there are of course some scenes that will make you ask ‘they didn’t think of going the other way?’ and of course some cheesy lines.
“Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” a movie all members of the family will certainly enjoy.
