Exciting Changes Await MPL Philippines Season 15

MANILA, 13 February 2025 – The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) is back for Season 15, bringing with it a host of exciting changes, upgrades, and new rivalries to spice up the competition. Launching on 28 February 2025 at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati, the 15th season promises an unforgettable esports experience.

Major Upgrades and New Rivals

This season introduces two new esports giants, Twisted Minds (TWIS) and Team Falcons (FLCN), alongside new and returning pro players and brand partners. The opener will feature TWIS and Aurora Gaming (RORA) in a best-of-three (BO3) match series at 5 pm, followed by a match between world champions ONIC Philippines (ONIC) and TNC Pro Team (TNC).

Matches will be held on Fridays and Sundays starting at 5 pm, and on Saturdays at 2:30 pm. Tickets are on sale for only PHP 200 starting 14 February, 3 pm, via the MPL Philippines website. Check out the match schedules.

Engaging Fan Experience

Fans attending onsite matches can look forward to meeting their MPL PH idols, joining community tournaments, participating in MPL Playground activities, and taking home exclusive items. Matthew Chan, MOONTON Games PH Head of Operations, emphasized the season’s theme, “Heroes Within,” celebrating players, coaches, and the community.

“This season, we usher in a brand new era for MPL Philippines as we witness major upgrades and changes in the ecosystem. With fresh teams, new rivalries, and an electrifying fan experience, MPL PH remains committed to providing our community with the best possible viewing experience. We prepared more activities for the fans to level up their bonding experience in the MPL arena,” said Chan.

New Teams and Fiercer Competitions

Season 15 brings new teams and major roster changes to elevate the competition. Former AP Bren players now join Saudi Arabia-based Team Falcons, making their league debut this season. TNC Pro Team undergoes a massive roster overhaul and welcomes Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, who returns to the Philippines after playing in Indonesia.

ONIC Philippines sticks to its world-champion roster, adding Jaylord “Hate” Gonzales as its sixth man. Smart Omega continues to be led by veteran Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog. “Ngayong season, mas double effort ako, dahil kinapos kami last season. Lahat kami ibibigay namin best namin para mabigyan lahat ng fans ng magandang laban,” said Ch4knu.

MPL PH S14 runner-up RORA retains its main five, while Team Liquid Philippines (TLPH) introduces new Gold Laner Kiel Calvin “OHEB” Soriano, dubbed “The Filipino Sniper.” TWIS’ quintet will be led by “KDA Machine” Salic “Hadji” Imam.

Bigger, Bolder Brand Collaborations

This season promises bigger activations by official partners Smart Communications, Inc., and Infinix. The league also welcomes international family entertainment center Timezone and gaming chair brand TTRacing as new partners in esports.

Infinix will launch the second season of its MPL PH Infinix FANSiklaban, gathering fans for weekly MLBB matches with prizes. Infinix is also offering freebies and promo codes worth up to PHP 1000 off for Infinix products. Smart will continue its MPL PH Battle Trips Program, inviting students to workshops on esports broadcasting, production, logistics, league operations, and journalism. Additionally, Smart will launch a Discord Community Hub for prepaid users, hosting special events and giveaways.

Timezone brings a nostalgic family entertainment experience to the MPL PH Playground with iconic carnival games, merchandise, and vouchers for any Timezone branch nationwide.

Open Ecosystem for Women and Community Heroes

The newly-formed professional MLBB league for women, Athena League, will host the qualifying tournament for the upcoming MLBB Women’s Invitational featured in the Esports World Cup. The MLBB Student Leaders Collegiate Cup (MCC), the official collegiate league in the Philippines, will now have a direct slot for its champion to compete in the MLBB Development League (MDL) Philippines.
