Digitalizing the Philippines: A White Paper Launch and Discussion
Digitalizing the Philippines: A White Paper Launch and Discussion
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impose lockdowns and restrictions to curb the spread of the virus globally, experts see the digital economy as a large driver in supporting economic competitiveness and resilience. Despite this, however, the prospects of pursuing digitalization here in the Philippines have been coupled with constraints including access to affordable technologies, poor access to quality internet, and long-held traditional operation models.
In light of this, the National University of Singapore-Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, one of the top public policy schools in the world and public affairs and strategy firm WR Advisory, is organizing an online discussion forum and white paper launch entitled: “Digitalizing the Philippines: A White Paper Launch and Discussion Forum” to facilitate discussions on policy reforms and industry efforts to promote the development of the digital economy in the Philippines.
With that in mind, we would like to invite you to the said online discussion forum with policy makers, business leaders, and academics—Sen. Grace Poe, TG Limcaoco, Andrew Williamson, Ricky Banaag, Atty. Allan Gepty, Atty. Randy Echaus, Dr. Bernardo Villegas, Dr. Ed Araral, Dr. Francesco Mancini, and Dr. Robin U. Garcia—as they seek to answer questions about the value and benefits of the Philippines’ digitalization.
