Is DJI entering the Action camera market? If we are going to base the answer from the leaked information ahead of the planned launch the answer will be most definitely yes. Based on the leaked photo the camera looks a lot like the GoPro Action cameras.

The DJI Osmo action camera is said to have a ½.3-inch 12 MP CMOS sensor from Sony, an H2 image processor, and a shutter speed of 1/8000-120s. It is also expected to shoot 4K video at 60fps, HDR. Similar to the DJI Osmo Pocket will have support for automatic time-lapse.

The company is expected to make the announcement on May 15.
